  6. Why is there more then one pager coverage area specification?

Vibrating pagers are initially tested in open fields for optimum distance specifications which are typically a 2 mile area. However, in everyday use the pagers are placed in buildings and inside a room which has an effect on actual coverage area and is generally less than the 2 mile open field test. All of our pagers will reach 2 miles like all other systems sold, in optimum conditions. However, we believe the more realistic distance is less than one mile depending on your environment.
